Breadpudding is one of the easiest ways to convert leftover bread and fruit into a delicious desert.

  • (leftover) bread
  • (leftover) fruit
  • Plant milk (such as coconut, oat, soy, almond or rice milk)
  • Spices of preference (such as cinnamon, gingerbread spice, vanilla, cardamom, or ginger)
  • Optional: sweetener (such as rice-, agave- or maple-syrup)
  • Optional: topping (such as nuts, seads, or bits of dark chocolate)

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Cut the old bread in cubes and spread them evenly on the baking tray or in the oven dish.
  3. Cut the leftover fruit and spread these in between the bread cubes.
  4. In a bowl mix the plant milk with spices and optional sweetener.
  5. Pour the mixture on top of the bread and fruit until these are just covered.
  6. Lastly sprinkle the topping on top.
  7. Bake in the oven for approximately 25 minutes.
