Vegan Mayonnaise

Making plant-based mayonnaise is surprisingly easy and quick! Do try this at home with this GZG recipe.


  • sunflower oil or canola oil
  • unsweetened soy milk (at room temperature)
  • vinegar
  • mustard
  • salt and other spices of choice
    (Optional) lemon

Kitchenware: immersion blender


  1. In a high container (a broad measuring cup is ideal!), blend one part of soymilk (e.g. half a cup) with 2 parts of oil (e.g. one cup).
  2. Blend these two together with an immersion blender until it has the preferred consistency. While blending, slowly add some vinegar.
  3. After reaching the preferred consistency, transfer the mixture to a bowl and add mustard, salt, other spices or lemon according to your taste. Do you like aioli? Blend in some garlic as well!
