Want to learn how to make your own soy milk? A very rewarding activity which makes for a very flavorful soy milk (nothing compared to the store-bought ones).

Ingredients

  • 100gr soy beans
  • 1L water
  • High-speed blender
  • Milk bag (or any clean cloths thin enough to strain the milk)
  • Pinch of salt
  • (Optional) sugar for a sweetened version

Procedure

  1. Soak the beans in water for 24 up to 48h
  2. Blend with the 1L water and the pinch of salt
  3. Strain the mixture (keep the pulp to make some delicious Zero Waste Nuggets)
  4. Transfer into a pot and simmer on medium heat for 15-20 minutes
At this stage you can add sugar to taste
  5. Bottle it up
  6. Keep up to five days in the fridge (but it will probably be drunk way before that!

How to use it?

  • The plain version is perfect for cooking
  • Lattes are delicious with the plain or sweetened version
